Yangon-Bagan-Mandalay-Heho-Inle Lake-Ngapali Beach-Yangon

Day 01: 23 Dec 2016 (Friday)

Bangkok – Yangon Arrival (D) Must arrive Yangon by 200pm Depart Bangkok for our flight to Yangon.

Meet on arrival, Yangon International airport. Today’s sightseeing tour includes the gilded SULE PAGODA, dating back over 2,000 years, BOGYOKE (SCOTT’S) MARKET (closed on Monday and public holiday) with hundreds of stores and a visit of a gems shop. The tour continues to CHAUK HTAT GYI, a huge reclining Buddha image followed by a photo stop made at KARAWEIK HALL, a royal floating barge.

An extended visit to SHWEDAGON PAGODA, one of the world’s most spectacular religious monuments, will conclude the tour of this picturesque Garden City. The golden dome of the Shwedagon Pagoda rises 98 meters above its base and is covered with 60 tons of pure gold. Overnight in Yangon. Overnight in Yangon. Welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 02: 24 Dec 2016 (Saturday)

Yangon – Bagan (by flight) (B,D)

After breakfast, Transfer to Yangon Airport for domestic flight to Bagan. Upon arrival in Bagan, and proceed for sightseeing starting with the busy local market and continuing with visits to a diverse selection of the most important pagodas and temples such as SHWEZIGON PAGODA, built by King Anawrahta in the early 11thcentury, KU BYAUK GYI, a temple with exquisite murals of Jataka scenes, KHAY MIN GA TEMPLE, noted for its spectacular panoramic view of the area’s many monuments and ANANDA TEMPLE with four huge standing Buddha images and numerous seated figures in niches around the galleried interior.

Afternoon a visit of a lacquer craftsmen’s workshop in nearby MYINKABA village and sightseeing to MANUHA TEMPLE, built in Mon style in 1059, NANBAYA TEMPLE, a unique sandstone monument, said to have been the palace of King Manuha and MYINGABA GU BYAUKGYI TEMPLE, noted for its ancient mural paintings. Observe sunset in the vicinity of Bagan’s ancient monuments. Overnight in Bagan. Christmas Eve Dinner at the hotel.

Day 03: 25 Dec 2016 (Sunday)

Bagan – Mount Popa – Bagan (B) Proceed on a scenic overland journey to Mount Popa, an extinct volcano with its shrine dedicated to animist spirits, known as “Nats”. For the energetic, there is time to climb the 777 steps to the shrine at the top of the volcanic plug. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 04: 26 Dec 2016 (Monday)

Bagan-Mandalay (by flight) (B)

After Breakfast, Transfer to Bagan airport for Domestic flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival, proceed directly to Amarapura. Visit MAHAGANDAYON, a famous Buddhist monastery, where more than a thousand monks live and study and then continue to the 200-year-old U BEIN teak bridge, built in 1782 at the time when Amarapura was the royal capital.

Afternoon sightseeing tour including MAHAMUNI PAGODA with its spectacular Buddha image covered with thick layers of gold leaves, visit to Gold Leaf Making Workshop and Tapestry Workshop. SHWE INBIN, one of the most outstanding monasteries in the country, SHWE NAN DAW KYAUNG or GOLDEN PALACE MONASTERY, a superb example of a traditional wooden building and KUTHODAW PAGODA, known as the world’s largest book, consisting of 729 marble slabs engraved with Buddhist scriptures. Sunset on the Mandalay Hill and overnight in Mandalay.

Day 05: 27 Dec 2016 (Tuesday)

Mandalay – Mingun – Ava – Sagaing – Mandalay (By Boat, By Car) (B)

After breakfast, transfer to the jetty and board a private chartered boat for a cruise over the Irrawaddy River towards the former capital of Mingun. After a 45-minute cruise, arrive in Mingun, famous for its huge unfinished pagoda also home to the Mingun Bell, considered as the world’s largest uncracked ringing bell. Also visit the beautiful white Hsinbyume Pagoda. Excursion to the former royal capital of INWA (AVA), reached by a short boat trip. Visits by horse-drawn carriage to NANMYINT WATCH TOWER, the remains of the palace building nicknamed “leaning tower of Ava”, MAHA AUNGMYE BONZAN MONASTERY, built of brick and stucco and BARGAYAR MONASTERY, famous for its impressive ornate woodcarvings and teak posts. Continue to SAGAING HILLS, a retreat for Buddhist devotees, for sunset. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 06: 28 Dec 2016 (Wednesday)

Mandalay– Heho (by flight)–Pindaya-Inle Lake (B)

Transfer to Mandalay Airport for domestic flight to Heho. Upon arrival in Heho, overland drive to PINDAYA (90 km – 2 ½ hours). Visit of the unique PINDAYA CAVES with thousands of Buddha images placed there by pilgrims over many centuries. Continue by road to INLE LAKE (60 km – 1 ½ hours) and by boat to the hotel on the lake. Overnight on the lake.

Day 07: 29 Dec 2016 (Thursday)

Inle Lake (B)

An excursion by boat on Inle Lake will include sights of the famous leg-rowers, typical floating gardens, local methods of fishing and village life. Afternoon visits are made to PHAUNGDAW OO PAGODA, the weaving village of INPAWKHON and other sights. Overnight on the lake.

Day 08: 30 Dec2016 (Friday)

Inle Lake-Indein-Inle Lake (B)

In the morning, visit In Dein in the south of the lake by motor boat. From the middle of the lake , continue down a small canal leading to the village of In Dein a recently opened area in shan state. After a walk around the village passing a local school, take the covered stairway to the beautiful Alaung Sitthou area where ancient stupas are partly covered by vegetation.

Afternoon excursion by boat on the picturesqure Inle Lake we see the famous leg rowers the typical floating garden and local methods of fishing garden and local methods of fishing and village life. Overnight on the lake.

Day 09: 31 Dec 2016 (Saturday)

Inle Lake (Heho) – Thandwe/Ngapali Beach (by flight) (B,D)

Visit a colorful local market in the Inle Lake region, and then proceed to Heho domestic airport to Thandwe/Ngapali Beach. Upon arrival, rest & leisure at Ngapali Beach. Overnight in Ngapali Beach. New Year’s Eve Dinner at the hotel.

Day 10-11: 01-02 Jan 2017 (Sunday-Monday)

After breakfast, rest & leisure at Ngapali Beach. Overnight in Ngapali Beach.

Day 12: 03 Jan 2017 (Tuesday)

Thandwe/Ngapali – Yangon(by flight) (B,D)

Transfer to Airport for domestic flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel. Free day to do last minute shopping.

Overnight in Yangon. Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 13: 04 Jan 2017 (Wednesday)

Yangon – Bangkok (B) Depart Yangon around 3pm.

After breakfast, transfer to Yangon International airport for departure flight to Bangkok.

MYANMAR (BURMA) WILL OPEN -E-VISA TO ALL TOURISTS FROM 01 SEPTEMBER 2014.
E-Visa to Myanmar will be starting from 1st September 2014 at Yangon international airport in Myanmar. It will cost 50$ for 28 days to stay in Myanmar, processing time will be within 5 working Days. Tourist must apply online of Myanmar Ministry of Immigration & Population.
