Why Jambi?

Jambi has a uniqueness that has a blend between modern and traditional. Jambi has a diversity of flora and fauna, in particular those within the Kerinci Seblat National Park. The Batang Hari River has winding stream like a snake stretching 800 km to the east coast, then flows to the Malaka Strait Which also is an attraction of Jambi. The Jambi people maintain a traditional lifestyle and some of them still live on floating houses on the bank of the Batang Hari River, or houses are built above the ground not far from the center of the city.

Where is Jambi?

Jambi is located on the east coast of Sumatra, facing the South China Sea and the Pacific sea, on international and regional traffic line. Geographically, the Province of Jambi is located between 0º 45’ – 20 45’ Southern Latitude between 101° 10’ – 104° 44’ Eastern Longitude, the total size of Jambi is 53,435.72 Km2. Land size is 51,000 Km2 , sea size is 425.5 Km2 and coastline stretches 185 Km. Jambi is also the name of the capital of the province.
